|I had several older laptops that I wanted to upgrade (one with a failed hard drive), so I bought some new hard drives and memory that Seraphic put into the best machine, and then put its drives into the lower machines, and repeated for each machine in turn, transferring all data from drive-to-drive as he went. He was able to eventually recover all the data from the failed drive even though it was very unstable.|
We also updated the operating systems from Windows Me. and XP to Win.7, with the best machines being dual-boot.
Along the way I wanted all my old settings, preferences, application settings, bookmarks and short-cuts retained.
I also bought a home network drive and had Seraphic make it accessible from anywhere in the world, so I could centralise all my data into one place. This last task proved challenging as I wanted my partner to be able to get remote access with no technical knowledge. Sepraphic spent hours into the night coming up with several valid solutions, but in the end I felt they all needed some level of technical know-how so we had to be satisfied with the least onerous method.
Apart from the engineer's having to re-schedule once or twice due to family emergencies, (and being later than expected a couple of times - which might really be my mistake at not being specific about exactly when I wanted him to arrive), the engineer worked much longer than expected on a few of the tasks when they didn't go smoothly, but, good to their word, they only charged me the fixed fees agreed in advance. This was very admirable.
Overall I think Shijo/Thomas is skillful, honest and pleasant, and with high integrity I will likely use him again in the not-so-distant future.

|I had a corrupt hard drive which meant the computer just cycled through its start up process and never actually turned on! In the end needed new hard drive and also upgraded to a new mother board with 4 times the memory. Now also have an internal back-up hard drive to secure my data. Also Seraphic also able to reload all information onto the new system, even email.|
