Scotmac Motorcycle Training - Driving SchoolScotmac is the only Motorcycle Training School based in Dumbarton. The office is based within the Polaroid Eyewear Complex, located above the main security gate. Students can park their own car or motorcycle in the large car parking facilities free of charge when attending training. Access to the Scotmac office is through the main reception area of Polaroid.
The company offers individuals a professional motorcycle tuition service and has secure off road facilities and highly trained and motivated staff who promote motorcycle safety and road awareness. Giving pupils the knowledge and confidence to safely get back on the road, this service is intended to be relaxing and enjoyable. Students who have completed their training can visit the website to leave feedback about their time at Scotmac. Every comment left is genuine. It is not compulsory that a comment is left, but it is very much appreciated.
On offer is compulsary basic training, Refresher and 125cc lessons. Also availiable is Direct Access Training on 500cc motorcycles. The training is structured around each individual pupil making every part of training suitable for everyone. CBT is conducted on site at a DSA approved training area and prices for services are competitivly priced and give good value for money. Motorcycle Clothing and Accessories can be ordered, then purchased on site at reduced prices giving extra value for money.
They have an expanding customer base that are located in and around Dumbarton, which include trainee motorcyclists aged from 16 years to seventy and have Trained people from as far away as Bute and Bathgate.
We have Trained people who RACE BIKES for Seton Tuning and they have qualified at Cadwell Park. The company is owned and managed by Alex Thomson who has been involved in the Motorcycle Industry for many years. Having previously worked with GMTS, Alex Thomson is well trained to oversee the company.
With just 2 qualified employees, Scotmac Motorcycle Training has a dynamic workforce who are qualified to a high standard. At present the company hold no affiliation to any other organisation.
As Scotmac is proud of the reputation it has established over the past year and are always on the look out for like minded Instructors who also want to pass on their knowledge and experience to others.
Hours of BusinessScotmac Motorcycle Training are open for business from 0930 to 1630 Monday to Wednesday.

5.0 out of 5 | Sitting your CBT is a potentially nerveracking event. However, with Scotmac all of those nerves immediately disappear. From the moment I arrived I was made to feel extremely welcome by the company's receptionist and when introduced to my trainer/examiner I knew I was in good hands. I also dreaded sitting an all day course but the whole day was made to feel interesting and the method of training such that I understood every part, to the point that when it was time to go out on the road with my examiner, I was both confident that I had the ability to do it and that I and other road users would be safe. Alex, the examiner, has a real passion for bikes and it is infectious. He takes great care to ensure that you are comfortable at all times and offers fabulous advice throughout the day that helps you become a better driver.
