Row antiques - AntiqueWith a workshop located on the edge of the new forest in West Totton (Southampton), Row antiques is a highly regarded business, offering antiques restoration to trade and private clients throughout the south of England. Set-up in 1983 the company has 24 years experience in the Antiques business. In 2006, Andrew Row set up a new business called Chapter Clocks in partnership with Ian Wall, specialising in the sale and restoration of fine antique clocks.
In their well equiped and fully insured workshop, Row Antiques are able to offer a full antiques restoration service, specialising in clock cases and movements, woodturning, French polishing, marquetry work, metalwork (including locks and keys), upholstery, general repairs and woodcarving. All work is carried out using traditional methods and period materials and timbers where possible.
Throughout a varied and interesting career which included taking a degree in zoology, working as a countryside ranger and safari park warden, followed by a few years teaching science in Scotland and Kuwait, Andrew Row has maintained a lifelong interest in antiques and wood related crafts. He has a long list of delighted private and trade clients in the Southampton, Romsey and New Forest areas.
