Traditional Glasgow Blacksmith specialising in cast iron, wrought iron, welding, structural steelwork and artistic blacksmithing. Small jobs a speciality and workshop open saturdays for visitors, tuition and repairs. Welding to most metals and sales of steel in whole or part lengths at reasonable prices. Spiral stair fitting service available for any make.
A small but hardworking team the owner has twenty years experience. Has completed a trades apprenticeship as a blacksmith and has studied construction and business management at university and business school.
Focused on quality and customer service the company intends to give clients a quick and cost effective service and to continue to invest in training and equipment to increase quality and reduce costs.

| 5.05 5.0 out of 5 - We needed to fix the front of our traditional fireplace after it had been vandalised when a gas coal fire was installed years ago and looked for a blacksmith. Fortunately for us, we found Alistair. He created a new front to match the original design. His work is superb and we found it reasonable. For him, it was a small job but he likes the chance to be creative and he couldn't have been more helpful. Mr Reid took a great deal of trouble to match the original metalwork and the work was carried out promptly. It looks great and was well worth the reasonable amount he charged.
