We bought a table from Puji and chose teak as we wanted a durable and strong piece of furniture. The first table arrived with a hairline crack in it and we had to wait for a long time for a replacement; no refund was offered. The second table also developed a crack within days. I got the impression that their furniture is made of kiln-dried, premium quality teak but this does not appear to be the case. When I spoke to Jimmy, he said the table is mixed-grade. I am really, really disappointed with the table but Puji have not been interested in resolving the matter - they please themselves.

The teak we use is not premium grade teak, but reclaimed teak as it clearly states on our web site. Reclaimed teak doesn't have a grade because it is from mixed sources - and the wood is over 100 years old. This adds to its charm. The wood is kiln dried twice, to make it strong and as durable as any other wood.
Although you experienced problems with the furniture you received, this is not because there is a problem with the quality of our products. The problem was caused because of the positioning of your dining table. As we advised, positioning any solid wood product (teak or another wood) in a very hot conservatory in direct sunlight may cause problems and that is why you experienced the same problem twice. This explains why the crack was experienced in the grain of the wood rather than in one of the joins.
Never the less, we responded quickly when we received your call that there was a problem and delivered a replacement product (as per your request) free of charge on both occasions.

We saw a beautiful carved trunk in a magazine. We looked up the company Puji on the web and asked to have the blanket trunk made in a different size. We discussed the design with Jimmy who was very helpful to accommodate our wishes. The result looks beautiful and fits very well with the rest of the bedroom furniture.
I found exactly what I was looking for in this fantastic furniture shop. Everything is authentic and really good quality. The guy I spoke to, Jimmy, was very helpful and friendly too. Highly recommended!!
Jimmy & Marian's customer service was excellent. The professional advice/service was greatly needed as I was unsure as to what design would best suit my room. The furniture decided and ordered was beautifully made and fitted my small bedroom perfectly. Thank you for a wonderful service.

WOW! Love my coffee table and side unit! So heavy and well made which is always a good sign of a quality product. I love PUJI and shout about it all the time when people will listen. The after sales is excellent and even make bespoke pieces which I will use in 2010.
It is not cheap granted but the value for money is second to none. If you want cheap overpiced veneer that LOOKS similar that is going to fall apart after 6 months then go ahead. I want my timeless furniture to be with my for the next 20 years. James and Marian even said after a year or two with wear and tear (I like to entertain) they will re-stain for me! Excellent company I expect to go onto even greater things!
I am so please with my purchase! My husband and I were searching for the perfect diningtable, and we found it at Puji. Not only does it look beautiful, the service was wonderful. From giving us all the information, the choices we had in style and tint, the delivery and assembly. We ended up purchasing lots of lovely accesories, and they really complete our room.
