Pro Active Driver Training is run by Dave Beresford who has an NVQ3 in driving instructing and is a DSA and IAM Registered Grade 5 Driving Instructor, NVQ assessor, and is Fleet Registered. The business offers more than just lessons to pass your test.

Pro Active Driver Training can now offer something no other driving school offers in Nottinghamshire: an NVQ 3 in Driving. Be one of the first in the county to achieve this new driving standard, further enhancing driver safety and driving standards, reducing running costs and saving a potential 25% on the first year's insurance.

With a maximum 12 month old dual controlled, air conditioned Vauxhall Corsa 1. 3 Diesel and fully qualified staff, the company delivers a professional driver training programme to all ages. The service is intended to prepare all customers for safe driving for life.

Pro Active Driver Training use both verbal and visual aids to help customers grasp the concept of being a safe driver and also have an online diary and track record so learners can always be aware of not only when their next lesson is but also where they are in their training online 24hrs a day 7 days a week.

Your driver training manual will build into a driver reference manual to help maintain standards beyond your driving test and Pass Plus Course.

Pro Active Driver Training has a varied age group of customers, based in and around Nottingham, including NHS employees, students, new drivers and qualified drivers wanting to improve their standards and gain from insurance company discounts. The company is managed by Dave Beresford who has been involved in the driving instructors trade for several years. Dave is experienced enough to manage the company, whilst Pat, his wife, helps with lesson bookings and test bookings and PR work to help all through any problems they encounter

Dave was a really a good driving instructor. He taught me everything i needed to know about driving, as a result i passed first time, i would recommend dave to anyone who wants to learn to drive.

I couldn't recommend Dave more, he is a very sociable, warm and friendly instructor who makes you feel at home behind the wheel and at no point do you feel under unnecessary pressure. Most importantly he is incredible knowledgeable when it comes to driving and teaches to a very high standard. There simply is no one better to learn with.

I was a very nervous driver, and at 28, id been putting learning to drive off, due to lack of confidence. my partner bought me some lessons with pro active driver, and I felt so at ease with dave, I continued to learn with him. I actually enjoyed my time driving, and he gave me the confidence I needed, and taught me what is most important when driving (observation), and as a result, I passed first time, with NO driver errors! which was amazing. I would definitely recommend this driving school.

one word PASSED! and no driver errors extremly good drivig instructor. Won't take you a run for your money and will bend over backwards to suit your needs.

David Beresford was my one and only driving instructor. His pro-active approach to driving was well ingrained into my own driving style. Nearly three years later the benefits are clear; no accidents and a restrained certainty in my driving abilities. I would also like to point out that David really took the time to teach me how to drive as opposed to teaching me how to pass the driving exam (I passed the test with my first try). If all the driving instructors had the same approach I am sure the streets would be a much safer, calmer place. David is also a great guy, which made my experience even that much better.

I currently live overseas but took the opportunity of returning to the UK to learn to drive, believing I’d receive a far higher level of instruction. This was certainly true of Dave, he not only prepared me for my test, which was yet another first time pass for him, but he also instilled in me lifelong good driving habits. Thanks to Dave not only did I pass but I also feel confident that I’m a safe driver for life who will always be alert to learning and improving over the long haul. The lessons were intense as Dave always pushes for perfection, and thank goodness as there really is no room for error in driving; but they were also great fun and I really enjoyed the whole experience. Returning home, I not only had to deal with changing to the ‘wrong’ side of the road but also abysmal drivers, however due to Dave’s teaching I have been able to deal with this in my stride and really appreciate his teaching to drive not just to pass. I absolutely recommend him to anyone looking to be a great driver.

I would recommend any one to pro active driver traning. From when i first started with dave i want the best of drivers at that time. But after all the good and hard work dave done for me it payed of. Dave took me though every detial. Alot of hard work yes. But that hard work got me a pass with no errors and a very good instructor. So to people who want to drive. Dave at pro active is your man and many thanks to dave.
