Positive Birth Choices - Pregnancy ServicePositive Birth Choices is a holistic service offering birth and postnatal support services to pregnant women and couples within an hour's travelling distance from Lostwithiel. This includes Falmouth, Truro, Plymouth, Launceston and Bude. Birth Preparations sessions are available on a one-to-one basis or small groups. Additional holistic services to support health and wellbeing during pregnancy include Reiki, Breathwork, Yoga, Hypnosis and Flower Essences.
Core services include Birth Doula support for pregnant mothers and Postnatal Doula support for new mothers. Research has shown that women who are supported by a trained birth support partner experience less intervention during birth, and have a more satisfying pregnancy and birth experience. Individualised Birth Preparation Sessions are available on request. One-to-one Yoga is an additional service offered for pregnant women in the comfort of their own homes. A Home cooking service is offered to clients in the postnatal period which may be in addition to Doula services offered.
