If for any reason the client is unhappy with the tree, Pines and Needles will replace it free of charge or fully refund the amount of the purchase.

The catalogue includes a varied selection of trees, including:
- Non-drop trees: ideal for indoors, great needle retention
- Traditional trees: great colour, fresh pine smell
- Trees with Roots: ideal for re-planting

The Christmas tree delivery service is ideal for clients who simply don't have the time to go out and buy a Christmas tree, stick it in the back of the car and then clean up all those needles from the back seat. In fact, who has time for that?

Pines and Needles not only deliver, but also install, decorate, undress, remove and even recycle Christmas trees after the festive period so all a client has to do is place an order online.

The decoration team has been involved in some of London's great events in the run up to Christmas. The team will decorate the tree on site to fulfil the client's requirements, with the chosen decorations and style. It's all included in the price and the decorations can be kept for next Christmas.

Pines and Needles was founded by brothers Josh and Sam Lyle back in 1995. It all started when the youngsters (then aged 15 and 13) came up with the brainwave of loading an old horsebox with Christmas trees from their family farm and taking the long journey down to London. After a few years the kilted crew grew in size, the Internet beckoned, and the rest, as they say, is history.

Pines and Needles Christmas Trees is a proud member of The British Christmas Tree Growers Association.

The business supplies a wide range of Christmas products that are honestly priced and of the highest quality. Their Christmas trees come with a quality guarantee and a simple promise: if you don't like it they'll replace it!

On wednesday 2nd january pines and needles came to collect my tree. The collection chap's colleague had failed to turn up to work on time but he thought he could do the job himself. He cut six inches off the top (the skinny star perch bit!) and proceeded to drag a 3ft wide tree through my hall and get it through the 1 foot wide angled entrance from my front door into my hall. It got stuck. So he pulled so hard the branches levered my radiator off of my hall wall and the entire scalding hot contents of the communal heating system from the 3 floors above my flat emptied into my flat for just over 2 hours until the emergency plumber turned up just before the fire brigade. I was very lucky I only scalded my hand and that my 3 year old son was unburnt. Despite photographic evidence, my neighbours' witnessing, the plumber's comments and the self-evident damage to my newly refurbished flat (7 weeks old flooring - proof of purchase) they tell me they dont want to claim on their public liability insurance and despite paying the emergency plumber direct at the time and apologising profusely the next morning at my front door for their mistake they now want to contest they caused the damage. Apparently my radiator spontaneously self combusted and fell off the wall on contact with the 3ft wide christmas tree wedged against it. Their offer of compensation does not cover my 3 year old son's christmas and birthday toys that were ruined or take into account I scalded my hand. At the moment I cannot even find a stockists that supplies the new floor I bought so am left with the option of replacing the entire floor at my own expense to keep the flooring the same throughout which is why I had had new floor put down in the first place. I would never ever use this company again. Over the past 3 days they have consistently revised their position despite admitting liability initially and still refuse to name their public liability insurers. I now have no choice but to report them to trading standards and H&S executive in the hope that they wake up and take responsibility for a serious (and could have been far far worse, I go cold when I think about shouting at my 3 year old to run and get on to the bed as the hot water poured into the flat) and complete failure to take reasonable care and skill. I really don't want this to happen to anyone else. If it was a 2 man job why did only 1 man try and do it by hiimself? why did he not remove branches from the sides not the top - it was the width of the tree that was the issue not the height. He even left his secateurs behind and tried to drive off without paying the emergency plumber! I am at a loss to know what to do with a company such as this. Very very sad and disappointed - would definitely not recommend to anyone with children. Would have hoped from more from a 'family run' company as they take great pains to advertise their company as on their website. I hope they at least revise their H&S training and risk assessment methods for collection in view of this terrible, and what was potentially a tragic, mistake. Happy new year pines and needles. I will upload a photo when I work out how to resize it to 1mb.

Overall a good experience but some disappointing factors. The first e-mail I was sent regarding delivery was incorrect and referred to a collection, it also contained a number of spelling and grammatical errors.

Furthermore items I ordered and paid for back in September were out of stock, and I was notified the day before delivery. Though they were very helpful in selecting alternate products I feel it's bad form not to check stock and either reserve at the time of ordering or make sure sufficient is on back-order: customers should not be let down so late in the day.

Finally, the tree has around two feet of bare stalk at the top - more than I have had from other suppliers. Considering the price comparisons, it isn't fair to say they're cheaper than the others - because volumetrically, they're not. Nonetheless the tree has good colour and is of high quality.

In summary, great customer service and a generally good website - but let down by their operations people.

our tree died within 2 1/2 weeks. You only offered a new tree with a 50% discount plus delivery. I expected the tree to last longer than this, it was totally limp and lifeless. I will not buy from you ever again, I was very disappointed. Terry Haste.

Company response : Christmas trees are living things and it's impossible for us to guarantee how long they will last. They are very much like flowers and even the "non-drop" trees depend entirely on their environment to survive the festive season. Lack of water, central heating, under-floor heating and air-conditioning are sure to minimize their life-span. HOWEVER, customer satisfaction is our absolute top priority and we'll do everything in our power to rectify this situation. So, to that end, I'd like to offer you 50% off your entire order if you come back to us next Christmas (2013).

This is the second time we have used Pines and Needles and the tree was again, really lovely - not cheap but you get a decent tree for your money. However the delivery service was poor. I'd paid extra to have it delivered before 1pm - driver was late, rude and offered no apology nor was a refund forthcoming for the additional delivery fee. Rather soured the whole experience for me. Not sure I'll use again.

Lovely tree. Good delivery service in that they delivered on the day they said they would but it would be even better if they could allocate a time slot even if it was just morning/afternoon. The only real complaint I have is that the tree I bought had roots as I'm hoping it will last longer than just Christmas but it wasn't in a pot - it was just in some heavy duty plastic. So I had to go and buy one which wasn't expensive but wasn't something I was prepared to do. Perhaps the website could be clearer in explaining this so you'd know in advance. Actually I think for the money I paid they should have provided a plastic pot as well as they don't cost much!

This is our third year with a tree from Pines and Needles and we have received yet another beautiful tree (Nordmann fir). The first time round I was a bit hesitant about ordering my tree online, because I am picky and didn't want to end up with a tree that no-one else wanted. However, all three trees have been very beautiful ones. The drivers are very nice and have carried them up for us (3rd floor). This year I had to change my delivery date and Pines and Needles did this promptly and without making things complicated.

Great trees, great customer service at an okay price. Highly recommended!

We ordered from Pines and Needles for the first time this year, and have been very impressed with both the delivery service and the tree itself.

Our driver and his partner were friendly, efficient and tidy – and the tree is without doubt the best we've ever had.

We look forward to ordering from Pines and Needles again next year!

A great service at Christmas time. The festive season wouldn't be the same without the Pine & Needles delivery!
