Pett Paintings is the online gallery of Artist Kay Prior. In her East Sussex studio Kay paints using traditional methods with paints, paper and canvas as her tools.

She has over 30 years experience as an artist specialising in animal paintings during which time she has developed the necessary skills and techniques to produce high quality, realistic, hand painted portraits.
All her work is original and painted on paper or canvas using top quality artist materials ~ no tricks or gimmicks.

Using your photographs and detailed character description as reference, Kay aims to capture not just a physical likeness but also the individual character of each animal she paints and as a result has a growing number of happy and returning clients.

Portraits are available in a range of traditional artist materials (graphite pencil, oils, pastels or watercolours) and sizes with prices to suit all budgets.
A small deposit is required to secure a position in her painting schedule and when your painting is complete it will be forwarded by e-mail or made available to preview online for your approval.
In the unlikely event of your portrait failing to impress at this stage, Kay will endeavour to make any necessary adjustments for your satisfaction. The balance of payment will then be requested and your painting securely packed and dispatched by special delivery.
