Nursery of the Year - Child CareNursery of the Year is a Childcare Awards Site, offering the opportunity for parents to vote for the best day nursery or nursery schools throughout the UK. The organisation, which is based in London, was set-up in 2007 and the various examiners have many years experience in the Child Care sector from grass roots childminding and nursery nursing through to managers and owners of childcare settings.
Helping parents to choose the best childcare setting for their child, the site provides parents with guidelines for choosing childcare and for nurseries to meet those guideline. With awards for local, city, regional and national areas and criteria including the early years foundation stage and parents recommendations, the site is intended to provide a way of standardising and measuring childcare nurseries performance throughout the UK.
Parents and carers can Vote for their Nursery of the Year simply by visiting the website and nominating their favourite setting, childcare related suppliers can also nominate (votes from suppliers also count towards the nomination points system). The awards are allocated locally and regionally also by city and nationally - each entry is allocated a score by an independent examiner - winners in each category will be listed on the website.
