Number One Springfield is a new (2008) bed and breakfast in Longhoughton.
Cleverly positioned between Alnwick and the Heritage Coast, for easy access to Northumberland's beaches. Alnwick town, Alnwick Castle and Alnwick Garden are just a couple of miles away.

The two bedrooms currently available each feature especially comfortable beds, with en-suite shower and bath in St Aidan's suite, and en-suite shower room in the St Cuthbert room.

Breakfasts feature local Northumbrian produce, sourced locally whenever possible. Guests say they are made to feel at home when they step through the doo.

Christine and Richard Wilson welcome guests to Northumberland and the Heritage Coast. Always ready to assist with information about places to visit, places to eat, or just to discuss quilting and pole lathes.

When staying away from home, a comfortable bed is a must, and the super king size bed in the St Aidan suite is responsible for more than one guest oversleeping, whilst one guest wished to take the king size bed from St Cuthbert's room home with him.

Bed and breakfast is nothing without the breakfast, so breakfast offers a choice from freshly prepared fruit, yoghurt's, cereals, the Full English Breakfast, or anything in between. Being next door to Craster's famous smokery, local kippers may be available, bacon in stotties, or perhaps in home made bread if Richard baked last night.
