New to Mac - Mac SupportBased in both Andover and Dorchester, New to Mac is a business run by two friends offering help and support to those new to Apple computers across Hampshire, Wiltshire and Dorset. By the time New to Mac was set up in 2007, the partners had already been helping new users for almost two years.
From this experience, they decided that rather than set up a conventional training company to offer traditional style classroom based courses, it would be much better to offer one-to-one tuition in the client's home on their own machine. This way the content can be tailored to individual needs in both content and pace of learning rather than being in a class of 20 with some lagging behind whilst others surge ahead.
They can offer help with using any of the applications that Apple supply with the machine as well as making suggestions for programs to suit other more specific tasks. It's also possible to seek their advice on hardware purchases although this is not their main area of operation.
If you've just got a new Mac out of its box and want help from the very beginning or if you've had one for a couple of years but are still mystified by certain aspects of it, you're just the sort of client that New to Mac cater for. There's no call out fee and their charges are clearly explained on their web site.
