Mike Haken - The Horseman's Artist - ArtistWorking as a full time professional equestrian artist since 2006, Mike Haken - The Horseman's Artist, has over 30 years experience, selling his first work at the age of 15. He now focuses on providing exquisite horse portraits and dog portraits to owners and clients throughout the region. The artist's studio is situated in the grounds of Northallerton Equestrian Centre, Yafforth (Northallerton).
Mike Haken has an expanding and varied network of clients, spread across the North East region. His most recent work includes commissions for one the country's leading show jumpers. Created using the finest quality pastels manufactured in Northumberland from natural pigments, Mike produces portraits that capture each animal's unique character. He can undertake everything from a simple head portrait to a large work featuring up to five horses. His works make unique and personal gifts for any horse or dog owner.

Mike works from his own photographs, and offers a substantial discount if he can take his photographs at his studio, or at a show where he has a stall.
