Merseyside Residents Network - Community RegenerationWith an office in Liverpool, Merseyside Residents Network is an accomplished organisation offering advice and support to tenants and residents throughout Merseyside. Formed in 2007 the organisation has more than enough expertise and years of experience in the community sector. Empowering local people and communities by supporting their engagement in the sustainable communities agenda, by training groups and individual activists and facilitating a collective voice for the diverse grass roots communities across Merseyside.
The organisation delivers comprehensive support and training to local people and community groups, which is intended to help empower them. With knowledge and skills training, the business also has expert staff enabling clients to improve their neighbourhoods and the lives and prospects of everybody on Merseyside. By representing everybody and facilitating a collective voice for Merseyside, MRN strongly believes that local people can be given real power to boost liveability across Merseyside's 5 boroughs.
The organisation is run by a Board of 20 local tenants and residents who have been involved with the empowerment aspects of regeneration and involvement for many years. Having previously been activists in the communities where they live across Merseyside, The delegate board members are more than qualified to run the organisation.
The organisation delivers unique ways of empowering local people that are beneficial to all and usually delivered free by a tenant-led organisation. The training and support are wide ranging and diverse, making them suitable for people and groups irrespective of their entry level of understanding etc, and they are available free of charge for all MRN member organisations and most other non-professional stakeholders.
Merseyside Residents Network has an expanding network of members, based on Merseyside, including more than 60 TRAs, Community Groups and individual associates... Social housing renters, private sector renters, leaseholders, owner occupiers, those in part ownership etc.
