Mattress Doctor - Dry Cleaning

The Mattress Doctor offers a professional and unique in home 3 stage cleaning treatment for mattresses and bedding.

Started in 2002 by one of the founders who suffered badly with Asthma, the Company has seen strong growth due to the continued growth in the numbers of allergy sufferers.

85% of Asthmatics are allergic to the Dust Mite skeletons and excrement found in every mattress, the excrement contains allergens which can trigger the symptoms of Asthma etc.

The 3 stage treatment explained

1) The mattress is extensively cleaned by a specialised vacuum cleaner, originally designed for use in asbestos dust removal. The vacuum head contains both a spinning brush plus sends down high frequency waves to loosen all the debris allowing the powerful suction to remove it.

2) A UVC radiation wand is then used to sterilise the mattress, killing all living material, bacteria and viruses.

3) A final light spray using a chemical free formulation helps to control future contamination. Used regularly this helps to keep bedding hygienic, dust mite and germ free.

As part of the companies service to the community, an operative will carry out a Free In Home Mattress Hygiene Test that will show precisely what is in the mattress and whether it needs cleaning.
