Established in January 2005, Mainly Malts Ltd is a specialist independent malt whisky shop owned by Ron and Lynn Henfield and is situated in the historic market town of Bawtry.
Way back in 1213 Bawtry was granted its first charter and has remained a market town ever since. Visitors to the town often question Bawtry as a 12th century port but way back then it was the third largest inland port in England and it continued to develop its river trade until 1777 when traffic bound for the Rivers Trent and Humber was re-routed onto the newly opened Chesterfield Canal.
In stock there around 350 Scottish single malt whiskies from each of the regions as well as unusual blended Scotch whisky and blended malt whisky. Irish whiskey, Welsh whisky, Japanese whisky, American whisky and other whiskies from around the world can be found at Mainly Malts. For something a tad softer there is a great range of whisky liqueurs, whisky fudge, whisky marmalade, honey and mustards as well as whisky related giftware.

Scrooby was the birthplace of William Brewster who in 1620 sailed across the Atlantic to America in the Mayflower to become the religious leader of the Pilgrim Fathers.

The company is owned and managed by Ron and Lynn Henfield who have been involved with Whisky and Spirits as a hobby for many years. Having previously worked within Further and Higher Education for over 25 years Ron is now finding time to live the dream of owning his own specialist whisky shop.
