Lorne Hill Farm Quilts - Patchwork and Quilting

With several years experience in quilting, Joanne Rabbitts decided to start running workshops at Lorne Hill Farm. Offering quilting products and workshops to anyone interested in buying or learning to quilt, the workshop is located in East Garston (Hungerford) and the farm is also a Caravan Club certified location.
‘Traditional’ is the over-riding theme, with the aim of the workshops being a warm and friendly, non-competitive day in which to enjoy your craft and socialise with like-minded people.

With the emphasis on having an enjoyable day out, visitors have the opportunity to work on projects in peaceful surroundings.
The workshops are held each week, plus a repeat once a month on a Saturday, with a seasonal project being introduced every other week. Visitors will be guided through completion of the projects. There is something for everyone - whether an experienced quilter or a complete beginner.

Pitch and Stitch sessions are held every other week, for enjoying the company of others whilst working on a project or seeking advice.

Lorne Hill Farm Quilts can provide quality hand-made quilted products including cot quilts, wallhangings which are designed to be used regularly.

Two courses will be commencing in January 2008. The first is a seven-month Sampler Course with an experienced teacher. Although mainly for complete beginners, so many skills are covered in the course it would be good for any quilter. The second project is the Block of the Month Club. Roll on, roll off throughout the year, the aim is to produce a 12-block sampler quilt representing each month of the year.

Joanne Rabbitts first met Sandra when she strode into Inches to Metres with a quilt top she had made from curtains and said, “so – what do I do next?”. Next she attended a sampler course at Inches to Metres and hasn’t stopped quilting since.
Sandra Kidwell is well known for owning Inches to Metres and inspiring so many people to take up quilting. She has sewn for years and has a wealth of experience on which to draw.
