I had neck and back pain for about 6 months which, after 6 weeks and 4 sessions with Ross, has improved significantly. What was great was that at the first session Ross explained how it would change over the course of the treatment..... And that is exactly how it improved!

Photo uploaded by Natalie Azzopardi - click for a bigger pictureFollowing a car accident in March 2011 where I sustained a whiplash injury to my neck and shoulders, I had seen a couple of Physiotherapists who at the time helped but my problems kept coming back.

I was then reffered to Linslade Physiotherapy and Sports Injury Clinic in March 2012. On my first visit I was seen by the Physiotherapist Ross Mounteney. We discussed my accident in detail, how it affected me day to day physically and mentally, my pain levels etc... Very thorough. Then following the discussion Ross explained to me what had happened to my neck and shoulders in the accident. This gave me an understanding of my condition and the hope that I would get better. I had not received this information before and thought how important it is for the patient to understand their body so I was very impressed.

I started treatment which consisted of manipulation, Acupuncture and also some excercises that I was able to do at home therefore continue the treatment. What I found very helpful and would say helped my recovery was that Ross explained everything he did and every session was tailored to how I was that day! So every week was different even the excercises he gave me to do at home. He provided me with lots of information of things that would help around the home that wouldn't cost you any money. For example using a rolled up bath towel to support your neck during sleep which helped me as the whiplash to my neck and shoulders made sleeping comfortably impossible.

I had 8 sessions in total and I am back to normal. I would highly reccommend Linslade Physiotherapy. It is a relaxed, friendly atmosphere, you are put at ease and everything is explained to you in full.

I would like to take this opportunity to say a big thank you to Ross and his team.

After I broke my arm close to the wrist and was plastered for seven weeks, I ended with painful stiffness, numbness and circulation problems in hand and underarm. I had ten physiotherapy sessions for about two months. Ross understood that playing the flute again was one of my biggest incentives and he helped me to make it happen. His treatments supported me not only to recover but also kept me going without desperation despite some impatience for my part. During treatments Ross integrated all his knowledge and experience: acupuncture, manipulations, massage and exercises. He gave good information. Choices made were led by the results and my feedback on the treatments. What I mostly appreciated is Ross' approximation that it is not the quantity (minutes) that counts, but he quality (result, patient satisfaction). It felt for me as good partnership between physiotherapist and patient.

While visiting a friend in the area, I came in with lower back pain and what I thought was a pinched nerve, as I had numbness down the right side of my leg. After only one visit and specific exercises (easy) to also do at home, my pain was considerably alleviated. I highly recommend Linslade Physiotherapy to everyone.
