Operating from Gatwick, Lightweight Movers offers a van and man removal service to clients throughout the UK. Established in 2007, the company has many years' experience in the removal courier and house clearance business.
On offer is a bespoke service to suit your needs, time, and location. Single items, collections from home stores, student/studio and flat moves also undertakes full house moves, and house clearance with a full moving team with a 7. 5 tonne lorry, and all goods handled are insured.
Lightweight Movers has a small group of regular customers, based in the local area, including a national children's charity to which furniture and bric-a-brac items from house clearances are donated.
The business offers serviced and maintained vans that have fully comprehensive hire and reward insurance, including public liability insurance and goods in transit insurance up to - copies of certificates on request.
The company is managed by Phil Herold who has been focusing on the removals trade for many years. Having previously worked for business and domestic customers, lightweight movers is more than able to meet the needs of its customers at a cost that is affordable.
The company will endeavour to supply a fast and affordable service with well serviced and clean vans that are fully insured. Operating from a wide base area in the South of England to any destination. The medium wheel base van has an overall carrying length of 3. 5m and can carry up to 2 tonnes. Clients also have the option to have a 7. 5 tonne lorry for the larger house moves and is designed to accommodate an average sized property.
With a team that includes cheerful and friendly staff members, including a young team, trained and experienced.
Getting it right requires knowledge and experience.
Getting it right all the time requires dedicated management, effective systems and above all commitment.
Terms and conditions: reserve the right to cancel or withdraw an offer of transport for the following reasons.
1. If it is not logistically possible to carry out the operation, 2. Goods OR other collections are added by the customer without prior arrangement.
As JOBS work to time scales with other customers booked that day IN TIME SLOTS The customer must give a phone number for contact any time including a mobile.

Both friendly and professional, on time, very patient and helpfull in loading and unloading the van. .
Good suggestions and advices, he went the extra mile sorting out our moving fast and without issues.

We arranged a move through lightweight movers. We are moving from a shared house into our new flat of our own. We have a single room in our current place that packs up into 10 or so boxes. The move was a little bit complicated by the fact we have a kitchen table and chairs plus a few more boxes in a storage facility. Phil accepted the move, however the next day, 24hrs before the move, sent an email saying it looked as though we were trying to move an "extra person" and that he had to cancel as the job was too big. This was very strange, and caused a bit of a panic as we then had to arrange another man with van at short notice. All in all, it looks like he generally gives good service (and the quote was reasonable value) but we did not receive great service on this occasion. Disappointing.
UPDATE: In response to lightweights comments below, they have been dealing with my wife, whilst I have been copied into all correspondence. Have just had my wife on the phone, feeling thoroughly harassed after you threatened her with law suits because I wrote a non-glowing review - which I actually find to be both accurate and quite restrained.
UPDATE 2: This just received from Phil: "This is the rubbish your partner has left on free index I have contacted a solicitor about it
Nothing was booked or confirmed and no correspondence what so ever with the person that has left it" with a cut and paste from my original review.
It's a real shame that this has gotten so nasty. A simple "sorry you were disappointed" with an explanation, would have gone down much better and may have saved a customer. Threats, insults and harassment is all we have received. Please stop harassing my wife - feel free to contact me through this site.
