Company Profile
Knowledge Seekers is a family run business offering bespoke one-to-one private tuition in the comfort and safety of your own home in South East London. The company is based in East Dulwich and began trading in 2001 when the founder commenced her role as a personal academic tutor.
There are many tutoring companies that provide an internet-based matching service. This service is generally predicated on an old teacher-student model, restricted to the basic transaction, with little or no on-going parental and student contact.
The service is relationship based meaning that Knowledge Seekers take full responsibility for the performance of the tutors, and that has to include a continuous dialogue with parents, tutors and students.
It is a partnership and will not work any other way.
Knowledge Seekers has an expanding customer base located in South East London. The tutees includes children taking entrance exams, scholarship examinations and interviews, or preparing for GCSEs or A-levels. Provision is also made for undergraduates in most subject areas. Knowledge Seekers go further than simply delivering excellent academic tuition. The service involves a working relationship with your child which is akin to that of a personal coach. It is vital that time is taken to understand each child's preferred learning style, and address any mental blocks or gaps that may be preventing them from reaching their full potential.
In distinguishing limiting thought processes with your child in a light-hearted way, they quickly build a foundation of confidence and self-conviction.
From here there are no limits to what your child can achieve.

5.0 out of 5 | We are delighted with the tutoring our son received. We were looking for supportive, informal tutoring, a "slow burn" - in addition to school work and parental led homework. We wanted an informative, relaxed environment which allowed questions to be asked and educational inconsistencies to be ironed out. We are delighted to report our son received offers from all of the schools to which we applied. I am more than happy to recommend Knowledge Seekers.

4.7 out of 5 | Alexandra really helped my daughter with tailored lessons that made her much more confident and happy. As a result my daughter had good advancement in a short period of time because of the focus on her individual and specific needs.

4.7 out of 5 | Alex has been a great tutor for our 11 year old daughter, helping her prepare for entrance exams to her senior school, a mixture of traditional maths and english with more abstract verbal and non-verbal reasoning. Alex teaches in a structured but playful way, letting the child find their own way to the right answer, then reinforcing method at the end of each session. our daughter complained a lot less about her studies, and even enjoyed some of them. fingers crossed for the exam results, but whatever they are, they will be a lot better than they would have been without Alex. Thank you.Jasper Wight reviewed Knowledge Seekers on 19 Jan 2010 |
