Around the theme of Shelter, the project ended up using the medium of batik to ex0plore the young people's ideas. Emily facilitated the sessions brilliantly, brought out great ideas and a great standard of work from these young people, and was very encouraging and supportive of their work. She also helped them to achieve their Arts Awards by helping them t plan a session where they led other young people into how to do batik work. All in all I would use Emily any time - she was easy to work with and produced workshops of the highest quality.  Useful

4.0 out of 5 Posted : 15 Jan 2011  Emily led two workshops for youth club members and their families and neighbours to create lanterns for a procession on Bonfire Night. The sessions were potentially messy, but the preparation was slick, so clearing up was easy. The materials and tools were plentiful and easy to use, even for the little ones, with some help, so they were safe. Emily is clearly a very experienced practitioner: despite the apparent chaos, she was calmly and discreetly in charge, and able to help and inspire everyone to achieve an outcome they were pleased with. What was additionally impressive was that on both occasions she brought her very new baby so he could have his evening feed - now that shows organisational ability! The final procession five weeks later delighted the whole community. Thank you Emily!  Useful

The client group we asked them to work with have a range of disabilities but they were able to create workshops that were accessible to everyone. The end results were just what we wanted and they easily fulfilled the brief.  Useful
