Karen Merritt of KarMer Therapies is a qualified Shiatsu practitioner with the British School of Shiatsu-Do, London; is qualified with a Diploma in Acupuncture from Bodyharmonics School of Acupuncture and also a Diploma from Wat Po School of Thai Massage, Thailand.
KarMer Therapies provides professional bodywork therapies including acupuncture, moxibustion, cupping and Facial Rejuvenation Acupuncture.

I had been suffering from constant pain in my knee ligaments for over two years and had tried a whole lot of different therapies without great success. I too found Karen on the web looking for a shiatsu practitioner. She is a very open, warm and caring person, extremely professional and she approaches your problems from all angles. When she suggested acupuncture might be more effective for my particular needs, I agreed to try it, even though I too am not particularly fond of needles. Unlike my previous experiences with acupuncture though, this has been extremely positive. The result has been amazing. I now have pain free days and the pain, when I do have it, is much less strong. I have also found that other niggling problems have improved, e.g. My eyesight seems to be much clearer, the dizziness that I have been experiencing is much reduced and I my headaches have completely disappeared. Thanks to Karen I feel better than I have done in years.

Karen is a fantastic therapist who puts you at ease and is very considerate of you and your needs. My original intention was just for Shiatsu for posture and relaxation (having a very desk-based job) however after a long discussion I decided to overcome my fear of needles and embrace Acupuncture as well.
I am SO glad that I took the plunge, because for the first time in half my life-time I am feeling almost normal after living with chronic sinus issues since my late-teens. I never would have expected the result to be so profound, and my wife cannot believe the change in the physical appearance and feel of my face as nearly 20 years of puffiness and swelling has all-but gone in just a couple of sessions. Simply stunning results.
I cannot recommend Karen and her skills enough for providing friendly advice, expert treatment and complete relaxation, as well as helping me feel like a new person after all these years.
