Located in Walton-on-Thames, Surrey, JSH Counselling is a confidential personal and corporate counselling service offering both short term and long term counselling to clients across Walton on Thames, Weybridge, Shepperton, Molesey and Kingston upon Thames / Surbiton. Established in the areas of predominantly person-centred theory but also bringing in aspects of Psychodynamic and CBT where required, the service has many years experience in the Counselling sector.

The type of counselling chosen can be tailored to each client's own particular requirements to provide an approach and solution, which is most suitable to the individual and their unique situation. With the main consulting rooms in a quiet and secluded location in the centre of Walton, the business also has private parking enabling clients to ensure discretion and confidentiality.

The approach adopted is predominantly person- centred with aspects of Psychodynamic and cbt, as well as existential theory introduced where appropriate. Following an initial introductory / assessment session, the minimum of six session is recommended to enable a therapeutic relationship to develop after which a review session is held to determine the most appropriate way for the counselling relationship to continue and can be either an agreement to hold at six, arrange a fixed number of additional sessions, or leave the arrangement open ended. The sessions are made available in advance and prospective clients should be aware that a cancellation within 48 hours will still incur a charge at a rate of half the cost more than 48 hours notice is given and the full cost if less than 48 hours.
