JS Therapies - Massage Therapist

JS Therapies provides Remedial, Swedish and Indian Head Massage treatments and focuses on providing holistic healthcare where each client is treated as an individual. The first appointment starts with an assessment of their problems and requirements then an appropriate treatment plan is agreed. This may be just a one-off 'switch-off' massage but to really benefit from the treatment, and since most people can benefit from regular massages, the majority of clients opt to make repeat visits. Currently operating from clinics in central Edinburgh and the Glenrothes / Dunfermline areas.

JS Therapies is owned and run by Jennifer Syme. Jennifer has a background in environmental sciences and used to work as an analyst programmer for a large corporation. She undertook her massage training with the Scottish Massage Schools and is a full member of the Scottish Massage Therapists Organisation, the main body in Scotland, which is also affiliated to the General Council for Massage Therapists. Jennifer's past work experiences make her especially interested in treating stress, back problems and problems associated with RSI and injuries. Jennifer offers treatments in well equipped clinics and yoga centres, which offer a peaceful haven from the fast paced lives everyone seems to lead. First appointments are at least 1 hour long to allow a detailed assessment to be done, and also give the client time to talk about themselves and relax. Further appointments range from 30-75 minutes long. The various types of massage practiced by Jennifer are generally combined to form a specific treatment for each client, this allows deeper tissue work in areas of tension / pain to be mixed with a soothing head massage to fully relax the client.
