John tuned my Kawai piano a couple of weeks ago. He was recommended by my piano teacher. John provided an excellent service - he was punctual and spent a couple of hours tuning the piano thoroughly. The piano sounds better than ever! John was also very pleasant personally. I will definitely use John again and certainly recommend him. Thanks John! Dr Rachel Gore, Gosforth, Newcastle upon Tyne.

John Phillips was recommended to me by a music colleague over ten years ago in which time he has tuned and maintained my piano. My opinion, based on my own experience over 40 years (and the ears of my musical family), is that the standard of the tuning exceptionally good. Any other work has been carried out to a very high standard. I trust Mr Phillips to offer good and fair advice and would highly recommendend his services to my pupils and colleagues in the music teaching profession.

John arrived for a general tune up for a recently purchased piano and put in 110 percent effort till it was perfect. Over and above customer satisfaction achieved. What a lovely person and such an experienced professional. Thank you. I will highly recommend you to anyone interested in anything to do with pianos.
John is a very pleasant gentleman with clear sound experience.
He worked for an hour and a half to re-tune and repair my piano for a very reasonable price.

I bought a 1930's art deco piano which I love but which was grossly out of tune. John said he had never seen a piano so out of tune and concluded that someone had tried to tune it themselves and obviously made a complete mess of it. With tremendous skill and patience John managed to get it back in tune for me and it now sounds amazing. John is a really nice guy and he is obviously very skilled with a vast amount of experience. I can't recommend him highly enough.
