Isle of Bute: The Port Royal Hotel is a long established business, offering budget accommodation in five guest rooms, fine cuisine from fresh produce, and Real Ales, Russian beers, wines and vodkas in The Famous Russian Tavern for visitors from all over the world. The traditonal stone-built village inn, on the seashore at Port Bannatyne (Isle Of Bute), dates from 1810 A. D. And so has many years experience caring for customers.

Isle of Bute: The Port Royal Hotel is a member of The Campaign for Real Ale, and was awarded Scottish Pub of the Year in 2005. The Manager is a member of The British Institute of Innkeeping. The hotel and restaurant (known as 'The Russian Tavern') was adopted by Les Routiers, and awarded Champion Gastropub of the UK, in 2005. In 2008 the trade newspaper 'The Publican' placed The Russian Tavern in the top six bars, pubs and restaurants in the UK for it's design and approach. The Tavern serves a la carte fine Russian cuisine from fresh produce which is sought by discriminating diners and can satisfy the most demanding and experienced gourmet. The menu includes fresh seafood landed on the boat pier just outside. The fine grog and vittals are available all day every day, Easter to late October, with fine views outside overlooking the yacht harbour.

The hotel provides tourists with comfortable, clean accommodation at a budget price, and has all-day catering in a relaxed family atmosphere of The Russian Tavern. The friendly innkeeper and wife ensure visitors an enjoyable stay. The fresh local food and wide range of beers, wines and vodkas are sourced to pleasantly surprise the visitor every time.
