Based in Alyth (Blairgowrie), Hutches is a friendly and caring company offering small animal boarding to owners of small animals throughout Blairgowrie, Dundee and Angus. They were established in 2006. Hutches wanted to fill a much needed gap in animal boarding. The company has gone from strength to strength in the Small Animal Boarding business.

Enabling clients to boarded their animals for weekends away or longer holidays throughout the year, the company provides individuals with the knowledge that their animals are safe and happy. Every care and need is provided for with heaters in winter and fans in the summertime. Animals such as Rabbits and Guinea pigs have the choice of inside or outside hutches from springtime to Autumn. Animals can relax in the sunshine when they are in their own outside runs.

The company is managed by Joanne Lockley who has been involved in the Small Animal Boarding industry for many years. Joanne Lockley is well trained to look after your animals having previously been employed by pet shops, boarding kennels, vet's practice and various other animal companies. Joanne also has her own pet guinea pigs and hamsters. Joanne will take down your animals vet details so if the need arises she can take them to either your vets or her local vet.

Hutches has an expanding and very happy group of customers situated in and around Blairgowrie. Boarding animals include rabbits, guinea pigs, hamsters, rats and chinchillas.

The establishment supplies rabbit hutches for the larger animals. Smaller animals require their own tank or cage. All food, treats and bedding are provided for at no extra cost to the customer.

To anyone who is looking for somewhere where their pets will be well looked after while on holiday, look no further! I have used "Hutches" on at least 4 occassions now and have always been very impressed by the service provided by Joanne Lockley. Her dedication to caring for small animals has got to be second to none. The accomodation is very spacious and clean and it is immediately obvious on arriving at Hutches that all the animals are extremely content. Joanne's entusiasm and obvious love for her business is immense. She is committed to making sure that every animal in her care receives the individual attention required to make their stay comfortable, enjoyable and fun. On leaving my pets at Hutches I aways go away knowing they are in the safest of hands and a perfect environment.

Joanne at Hutches has been looking after our two rabbits whenever we go away and we cannot praise her enough! From the excellent hutches and runs on offer to the varied diet including home grown herbs, it is a wonderful service that is offered. Joanne very patiently shows my children around all the current boarders when we arrive to drop off our pets, and on return from our break, no matter how short, there is always a thorough run down of what the rabbits have been up to, as well as photographs. I would recommend Hutches to anyone - and have done. We always joke that after the care and attention our rabbits receive at Joanne's they are sad to come home!

Joanne/Hutches provides excellent care to our two rabbits when we've been on holiday. It's reassuring to know that the rabbits get out for exercise regularly and are looked after with care and attention. We have also learnt a lot from Joanne in caring for our rabbits.

Joanne obvious enthusiasm and experience for looking after all sorts of small animals is evident when wondering around the other pets. We enjoy listening to Joanne talk about all the other animals under her care. We travel a long distance to board our rabbits at Hutches because we feel Joanne provides a high quality service.

Our animals have boarded at Hutches on several occasions and we have always been delighted with the service and attention they receive. We have two rabbits, a guinea pig and a hamster and are always extremely impressed with the knowledge that Joanne Lockley shows in caring for each type of animal and giving them individual attention no matter how busy she is. We have always found Joanne extremely helpful and friendly and have no hesitation in recommending Hutches.

My daugther's guinea pigs, Willy and Sooty, have boarded with Hutches on 3 occasions for one to 2+ weeks. We are very very lucky to have Hutches so close to where we live, and I feel very happy to leave our pets in Joanne's care. Joanne obviously loves caring and looking after pets, she is also very good with children and always goes out of her way to accommodate your pets. There are a range of indoor and (during the summer) outdoor hutches, and when the weather allows the animals are put out in the runs on the grass where they enjoy the outdoors and in the case of guinea pigs the tunnels and toys in the runs. Our guinea pigs get a good variety of both dry and fresh food, and have always come back in good health. I can highly recommend Hutches.

Our rabbits and gerbils have boarded at hutches on three separate occasions, and I would highly recommend this business. Joanne, the owner is dedicated to the care of her small visitors. I have always been impressed with the cleanliness of the hutches and runs used. Joanne ensures that all boarders have up-to-date health checks and immunisations, before allowing them to stay. This is one of the main reasons I return each time. I have three young children and always amazes me how much time Joanne gives to them when we take our animals there. Despite, being such an obviously busy woman, she always takes the time to tell them about all the other animals she has staying with her. My animals return home healthy and at times I think they might even be happier.

We have boarded our pet chinchilla at Hutches almost since it first opened. He has such a good time we think he often doesn't want to come home! The other animals there always look happy and well cared for and Joanne is quite clearly very knowledgeable and absolutely dedicated to their care and well-being. We can enjoy our holiday safe in the knowledge that our pet is in good hands.

Joanne provides a wonderful holiday home for our two guinea-pigs, Milly and Fifi. She is never anything less than exceptionally helpful and accommodating when making the arrangements. When they come back to us, Milly and Fifi are always very healthy, clean, and well-exercised. Joanne looks after many animals at a time and all of them have plenty of space to exercise, and look very well cared for when we visit. They're always really tame.... she gives them loads of attention! We couldn't ask for a better holiday home for them. Go hutches!!!!!!! The love and care that Joanne gives to the animals makes hutches more like a home for animals rather than pet boarding. The prices charged offer exceptional value for money! I would not hesitate to recommend Hutches to anyone who needed this service and have done so without disappointment in the past. I hope I will be able to use Hutches for may years to come. Thanks you, Joanne ,for providing such a great service.
