This was the first ever time my 2 labs Millie ad holly has been in kennels ad I was very plzed with the service my dogs was very looked after, the kennels was fab ad very clean I will be defo useing use again very happy ad thank you xx:).

My dogs.. 2 British bulldogs stayed here in feb. I have a dog and a female It was the dogs second stay at the kennels.. My female was in season but knew she was in safe hands.. My dogs will be back again later in the year.. Lovely caring people that have good knowledge of caring for your animals.. Highly recommended.. Wouldn't board my dogs anywhere else.
This was the first time we have ever had to use kennels, and I must say on leaving my dog Kegan, I had no doubt in my mind at all he would be well cared for. Kegan is 6 yrs old but we have only had him 11 months, he is not good socially and can be trying at times. On my return to my horror, Kegan wouldnt let know one near him, and everyone had had a trying time with him, but they didnt give up, and by the Sunday Darren had Kegan for a walk (Marvolous) so they became friends. I have booked Kegan in to return soon, as I know I wont find anywhere better as it is home from home there own warm room with flat screen tv, off the floor bedding, there own outside run where they can sit and look out in peaceful surroundings, not forgetting daily walkies and tlc. I cant thank Maureen, Darren and there team enough. I hope on Kegans next stay they become not just friends but good freinds.
After searching kennel after kennel I've finally found hurworth burn, somewhere I feel happy to leave my dogs poppy and Ellie while we are away on holiday. Thankyou Darren and Maureen for taking good care of them they will be back soon. X.
After leaving our beloved Jack for just 1 night in another kennel and he came home distressed we were desperate to find somewhere for him that suited both us and Jack. We found Hurworth Burn and decided to go and take a look. We couldn't believe how good it was, we booked immediately for a week while we went on holiday. Jack loved it. The luxury kennels have underfloor heating and a tv (yes a tv) in their room along with an off the floor bed and an outside run. It was like a home from home. Maureen and everyone there are true animal lovers and take great pride in what they do. She even texted me updates of Jack's stay so that we were not worried about him while away. We have booked for him to go back in January and its great to think that he is in good hands and you can enjoy your holiday without feeling guilty about our beloved dog. Go have a look for yourself you won't be dissapointed Thanks again Maureen and gang.
Buster, our Saudi Arabian Cat loves going to stay with "Auntie Maureen". He has had a globe trotting life but settles in really well at the Hurworth Burn Cattery for his holidays! Would recommend it to all cat owners/lovers. Gill Lambert - Sedgefield.
This was our first visit to Hurworth Burn. I rang numerous kennels asking if they would take our dog Maisie for the day as I often have business in other area’s for the day and cant take Maisie with me. Quite a few where rude and simply couldn’t be bothered!! Maureen took my call and what a polite and helpful lady. My Wife Diane took Maisie on the agreed day and was really impressed with the facilities and very nice staff. I picked up Maisie on the evening and met both Maureen and Darren. Darren very kindly took the time to show me around. I have booked my dog in for November and will be going through my calendar for next year and booking her in advance.
A great place to leave your pet, these guys genuinely care about your pet and their standards are excellent. I would highly recommend the safety of your pet in their hands.
This is to thank Maureen and Darren for looking after Oscar our Jack Russell. This was the first time we had used Hurworth and it most certainly wont be the last. Oscar was given five star treatment from start to finish of his holiday. Maureen even took the time to text updates which we found extremely comforting, I won't hesitate to recommend this facility to other owners.
