Hearing and Sight Solutions is a leading provider of specialist training for health and social care staff and volunteers throughout the UK. Courses are held in community venues throughout South West England, the West Midlands and South Wales. Hearing and Sight Solutions also provides in-house training for NHS trusts, local authorities, voluntary and other organisations throughout the United Kingdom. In addition to a wide range of standard courses, a tailored programme of training can be provided at a location of choice.

Training is primarily for health and social care staff and volunteers working with people who have sight or hearing loss, dementia or learning difficulties. It will provide the knowledge and skills to deliver fully inclusive services. Trainees will gain an understanding and knowledge of a range of health, eye and ear conditions, and practical experience in guiding, communication and providing accessible information. Courses will be of special value to support workers, home care staff, befrienders and escorts, receptionists and practice nurses, who meet blind, partially sighted and deafblind people regularly.

Hearing and Sight Solutions is managed by Richard Lucas who has been a well known figure within the sensory impairment sector for many years. Having previously managed services for RNIB and Action for Blind People, Richard is more than qualified to provide training and consultancy services to meet specific needs.

Hearing and Sight Solutions has a growing network of clients, located throughout the country, including Coventry City Council, Warwickshire Association for the Blind, North Somerset Council and RNID.

The company is managed by Richard Lucas who has been involved Sensory Impairment Training and service delivery for many years. Richard Lucas is more than able to provide training and mentoring services, having previously worked for RNIB and Action for Blind People.
