Grays Youth Theatre - TheatreGrays Youth Theatre is a new service that provides Theatre and Drama provision to young people 13-19 throughout the local area. The company, which is based in Grays, was only recently established in March 2007 but the facilitators have 15 years experience in the Youth Theatre / Performing Arts sector.
The Youth Theatre provides young people with a friendly and supportive environment in which to learn new drama skills and has a fully equipped Drama studio and expert staff. The participants begin to learn about themselves, each other and the wider society whilst learning specific but transferable theatre skills including directing, improvising and acting.
With a team of skilled facilitators, Grays Youth Theatre has an experienced and dedicated team who are all qualified to at least A level or BTEC National Diploma in Drama / Performing Arts. Mr Palmer, who co-founded the company has been a teacher of Drama for over 14 years and currently leads the Arts Faculty at The Grays School Media Arts College.
