GeoWorld Travel is Tour Operator and Travel Agent specialising in specialises in geotourism. We run trips to the polar regions on Expedition Cruise Ships. We run Dinosaur digging trips. We run fossil discovery trips in Morocco and the USA. We run trips to many volcanoes around the world. And in Wales where our Company is based we run road trips, day hikes and hike, star gazing and accommodation packages in our B&B.

Geotourism is more than just the rocks and ice, it is about experiencing the whole geodiversity of a destination, which includes its biology and history too. Spectacular scenery normally goes hand in hand with incredible wildlife and fascinating human stories and the trips combine all of these things.

Polar expedition cruises with additional geological interpretation. Dinosaur digging trips with real scientists with tuition. Fossil finding trips in the USA and Morocco. Visits to volcanoes around the world with an experienced volcanologist.

In Wales we offer the follow services: B&B | B&B with guided hikes in the Fforest Fawr Geopark, and Star gazing in the Brecon Beacons International Dark Skies Reserve | Longer stays in our B&B with geological days out all over South and Mid Wales | Road trips all over Wales | Self drive geological itinerary in the Twizy electric car | Guided day hikes in the Brecon Beacons National Park and the Fforest Fawr Geopark.

James Cresswell GeoWorld Travel's director and principal tour leader has 6 years of polar guiding experience and has been to Antarctica on 35 separate occasions. He has also guided in the Canadian, Greenlandic, Norwegian and Russian Arctic. He has an M. Sc. In Oceanography and a B. Sc. (Hons) 2.1 in Geology. He also holds his UK Summer Mountain Leader Qualification. He is an accredited Ambassador to the Brecon Beacons National Park, the Fforest Fawr Geopark and the Brecon Beacons International Dark Skies Reserve. He is also a trained photographer and was Highly Commended in the 2011 Travel Photographer of the Year Competition.

GeoWorld Travel is owned and run by James Cresswell, but the Company also acts as a Travel Agent for other Geotourism providers.

GeoWorld Travel is in the process of joining the Travel Trust Association.
