Food Allergy Support is a growing business offering guidance and training to food companies throughout the UK. The business, which is based in Surrey, started out early in 2010 but has many years of previous experience working with retailers and manufacturers on food allergy problems. Food Allergy Support now works in association with a small team of experienced technologists who were formerly in the food retail sector. High-quality help and support is offered to companies wishing to tackle the difficult area of food allergens.

Food Allergy Support provides food companies with informed guidance based on tried and tested approaches to risk assessment. The expert staff ensure that clients have a thorough understanding of food allergens and therefore are able to reduce risks that might arise from potential cross-contamination.

The company is managed by David Reading, who in 1994 co-founded the Anaphylaxis Campaign, a national charity set up to help both allergic consumers and the food industry. His work with Food Allergy Support is based on principles that earned respect for the charity throughout the UK food industry. David left the Anaphylaxis Campaign in December 2009.
