First Class Learning - TuitionBased in the Sacred Heart (RC) School since opening in 2007, The Redcar First Class Learning Centre is one of many local First Class Learning Centres offering Maths tuition and English tuition to children throughout the region.
First Class Learning offers parents and children carefully-structured programmes of study designed in the UK to meet the learning outcomes of the National Curriculum. These programmes are tailored to suit the individual child, with progress measured in small attainable steps. The main focus of the Maths and English programmes is building key skills, but specific revision courses for SATs and GCSEs are also available.
Created by professionals with a wealth of experience in the fields of mainstream, special needs and after-school education, the First Class Learning Maths and English programmes are flexible, varied and relevant. They draw on a range of materials to ensure that students receive adequate practice in essential skills while developing the habit of independent learning. Work is always set at an appropriate level, with progress measured in small, attainable steps, so that children grow in confidence as they learn to succeed.
David Taylor, the tutor who runs the Redcar First Class Learning Centre, draws on his many years' experience of after-school education to create a calm, welcoming and purposeful atmosphere in their class. He is proud of the fact that the majority of his students come to him via recommendation and stay with him for the long term.
The First Class Learning Maths and English programmes are supported by the British Dyspraxia Foundation.
With over 30 fully qualified centre mangers, First Class Learning has a growing team, qualified and with Enhanced CRB checks.
