Established in 2009 in Great Yarmouth, EXTEND Exercise provides gentle 'exercise to music' sessions for the over sixties and less able people of all ages within the Great Yarmouth, Lowestoft and Norwich area. Extend sessions aim to help people increase their mobility and independence by improving strength, balance, stamina and co-ordination whilst having fun in a group. The Gt Yarmouth service is aimed at elderly and disabled people in residential care homes and senior citizen clubs and private consultations are also available. There are also open community EXTEND classes available throughout East Anglia. These more active classes are suitable for people with specific health conditions and disabilities. Open active classes contain at least 20 minutes of seated exercise, although some people may prefer to remain seated throughout.

The fully qualified and insured teacher helps older people or those with specific health conditions to maintain their their mobility and independence. Pamela Redwood is well equipped to manage the business, having received training from the local Enterprise Agency. She has many years experience of using rhythm and music due to dancing as a hobby. Pamela was previously employed by the NHS and was a Community Staff Nurse for 5 years.

EXTEND Exercise has a customer base, located in the local area, including regular groups in Residential Care Homes. The service aims to help older people or those with specific health conditions or disabilities to exercise safely in a fun and friendly group session.
