Established in 2009 in Great Yarmouth, EXTEND Exercise provides gentle 'exercise to music' sessions for the over sixties and less able people of all ages within the Great Yarmouth, Lowestoft and Norwich area. Extend sessions aim to help people increase their mobility and independence by improving strength, balance, stamina and co-ordination whilst having fun in a group. The Gt Yarmouth service is aimed at elderly and disabled people in residential care homes and senior citizen clubs and private consultations are also available. There are also open community EXTEND classes available throughout East Anglia. These more active classes are suitable for people with specific health conditions and disabilities. Open active classes contain at least 20 minutes of seated exercise, although some people may prefer to remain seated throughout.
