To coincide with moving to a new base at St Pancras International - the Eurostar service has undergone massive recent improvements, with passengers now able to travel faster, greener and more comfortably.

Having started it's full service in 1994, Eurostar has forever changed the way that people travel from London to Paris and Brussels. Now with connecting services to over 100 Europeans destinations, Eurostar UK is continuing to change the way that its customers travel.

One of Eurostar's key benefits is the faster journey times that it allows. The company's trains have the capacity to operate at a maximum speed of 186 miles/hour - and in 2003 one train broke the UK's rail speed record by reaching 208 miles/hour.

Eurostar has become the first choice for trips between London and Paris, and London and Brussels. The fastest London-Paris Eurostar journey time is 2 hours and 35 minutes. Eurostar operates 27 trains between the UK and France/Belgium - and 3 Eurostar trains are used on domestic services in France.

All Eurostar journeys are now carbon neutral and, given that rail travel is approximately 10 times more environmentally friendly than flying; this is an important plus-side to taking the train.
