Having scoured the South-West, Richard and Hilary Waller chose this site specifically to be able to grow the finest grapes and to build a winery in which to make the highest quality English Wine. The grapes have been carefully chosen to suit both the English climate and the production of high quality sparkling wine, as well as a range of white, rose and red wines.

5.0 out of 5 | After a long journey stuck in Friday traffic on the M5 we received a very warm welcome from Hilary. We were taken to our cottage where we received a very in depth briefing on the facilities available. Cabernet was exceptionally clean and decorated to a very high specification. The fresh eggs were a welcome gift Saturday morning. Overall Cabernet was the perfect location to relax and chill out. We look forward to being able to visit again. Mark Chappell - 6 Oct 2008 |
5.0 out of 5 | We spent a fabulous 3 days at Eastcott Vineyard. Our cottage 'Cabarnet' was lovely with a spacious living/dining/kitchen area at entrance level upstairs and bedrooms below. It has been beautifully decorated and was better equipped than other places we've stayed in. The beds were particularly comfortable and we appreciated the powerful shower. The countryside around was very peaceful with only the sound of bird song and a herd of cows. The owners were charming and attentive to all our needs. A very relaxing break. 5.0 out of 5 | The standard of accomodation and attention to detail was excellent. The location was also excellent offering much needed peace and quite. Days out to The Big Sheep (dry or rainy days)and the Miniature Pony Centre are recommended for those with young children. Castle Drogo also a good day out, and the beaches at Bude were good. It was just a shame we stayed before the winery opened. The Waller's were lovely and thoughtful hosts. Eastcott is highly recommended. Dave Woods - 2 Sep 2008 |
5.0 out of 5 | Our stay at Eastcott Vineyard Holiday Cottages was enjoyable in every way. Our hosts, Hilary and Richard were very hospitable and took care to see that we were comfortable and well provided for. The cottages are situated in a particularly lovely part of Devon and the cottage we stayed in was equipped to a very high standard. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Eastcott and certainly look forward to going there again. Janet Beach - 1 Sep 2008 |
4.7 out of 5 | Lovely cottage fitted to a high standard with everything we needed for a very comfortable holiday. Very warm welcome with some lovely small touches that made a big difference. Nothing was too much trouble and the children (aged 1, 10 and 13) loved the location and all enjoyed exploring! Location was exceptional with plenty to do in wet or dry weather. We will definitely be returning and look forward to seeing the progress in the vineyard. Sandra Mansfield - 18 Aug 2008 |
