Dixey is a gifted painter of people and animal portraits, and pictures flowing from her imagination. Her paintings evoke a world of mystery, spirit and beauty. She is an experienced decorator of Romany Gypsy wagons and carts.
Dixeyart offers the opportunity to paint your own pottery at her studio, or in the venue of your choice , supplying all sorts of items to decorate, and subsequent kiln- firing, to parties, schools, workshops, etc. Pottery painting is a relaxing activity for all ages, allowing people to create special gifts, with help and advice where needed. Babies feet prints on plates are a favorite.
Having been trained in Italy, Dixey produces exceptional maiolica ceramic ware, in the Florentine technique. Unique in this country, the pieces will brighten up the house or office and can be used for practical and decorative purpouses. It is possible to have a kitchen or bathroom tiled with any design or style, and to commission a set of hand painted plates, mugs, platters jugs and bowls. Much of Dixey's work is available from the website, and from the Amandines Restaurant in Diss, Norfolk.
