Craig and Katrina were very friendly and welcoming. Despite the time constraints of the short course, Craig mangaged the time well and in laymans terms equipped the group with enough basic knowledge to send us off with enough 'know how', to finally allow experimenting in DSLR modes other than fully auto. Many thanks!
The half day Digital Photography course is a very interesting and worthwhile introduction to getting your camera out of auto mode. It's friendly and informal and Craig obviously enjoys teaching his subject, which he delivers in a relaxed yet informative way. When the course ended I was already thinking about the further courses that Craig and Katrina offer.
Excellent 1/2 Day Course. An introduction to photography for novices. Craig was very knowledgeable in his subject and was very helpful. Recommended. Nice couple as well!
Had family photo shoot with four small children who are at best tough to control! The afternoon was real fun - some great fun poses that kept the children amused and brought out their expression. Highly recommended! (And ask for the airbrushing service!!!). Mark and Jane Shorting.
From the moment we arrived, we were made very welcome. The atmosphere throughout the shoot was relaxed and informal. Our prints were available to view very quickly. We were very happy with the results and would not hesitate in recommending Craig to friends and family.
I completed a half day workshop. I was extremely pleased with the information I received and the detail at which all was explained. It was a very welcoming and enjoyable afternoon thank you Stephanie.
Graigs very pleasant manner and down to earth instruction made me feel very comfortable. I felt the topics we covered gave me a much better understanding of the basics of photography. As we progressed through each topic I became much more aware of how each relates and impacts on producing a photograph. My camera manual only instructs on how to operate a control, but through this session I now understand what that control does. A throughly enjoyable afternoon, which has given me more enthusiasm to use my camera. Thank you.
I attended one of Craigs workshops on Saturday, following a friend buying me a session for my birthday. I have had my Nikon SLR camera for about 5 years and thought I knew how to use it quite competently. Then I attended Craigs workshop and realised I knew very little about the myriad of settings available to me. The session ran for about 3 -4 hours and instructed 8 people of varying experience from complete novices to a fairly experienced student. The session was designed to make you understand how the camera works, and that using a camera was about manipulating the different types of light available. Craig's explanation of shutter speeds, f. Stops, ISO's and how they are utilised together to produce a decent result was at a level that even an old 'technaphobe' like me could understand. The instruction that Craig patiently dispensed to our group, supported by the literature and cd provided as part of the course, enabled me to understand the menu's and settings available to me on the camera, what they would do and how to set the camera up for the best results depending on what sort of picture you wished to achieve. All in all a quality workshop worth every penny and will no doubt, with a bit of application by me, will seriously improve my photography. No David Bailey but far more competent. (P. S The numerous cakes, pork pies and mars bars were an added bonus. ).
I attended a whole day workshop with Craig, I had a new camera and wanted to understand it properly. I had only been able to use my camera in Automatic mode and wanted to be able to use it in Manual mode. I had no experience in photography so therefore I wanted a one to one workshop. At the end of the day I was able to understand the theory behind photography and have an understanding of my camera. Since my work shop that I attended in March I have now had a lot of fun taking photos, the workshop has given me confidence. Craig was a very good teacher and Katrina's lunch fab. Norma Doveton.
