They can help teenagers prevent unwanted pregnancy and the spread of STI's. Developed in house by professional nurses midwives and teachers, the product range includes Contraception the Board Game, Contraception the Computer Game and Safer Sex an Interactive Learning Resource on DVD. The products are available at very affordable prices, and can be purchased from many sources, including an on-line shop.
With a close-knit unit of five enthusiastic staff members, Contraception Education has a professional team, two of whom are qualified to Masters Level, and actively involved in research and academia at the University of Salford. Contraception Education has a very large customer base, located throughout the UK and internationally. Customers include independent and state secondary schools, further education olleges, LEA's, youth centres, health and social care settings and the voluntary sector.. The company was founded and is managed by Barbara Hastings-Asatourian who has been working with and teaching in the public health domain for many years. Barbara has previously worked as a nurse, a midwife and health visitor for Manchester Health Authorities and Tameside and Glossop PCT's, she also taught sexual health teenagers at Tameside College, taught health visitors at the University fo Huddersfield and currently also teaches nurses at the University of Salford.
