CLARE'S CHILDMINDING SERVICE - Childminder

New to the Birtley Area, Clare's Childminding Service has many years experience in childcare, with the focus on providing high quality home based childcare to families in the local area. Clare is located in Birtley (Chester Le Street) and in easy reach of Washington, Low Fell, Wrekenton and Chester le Street.

Childcare is available for children from birth to 14 years. Clare welcomes all children, including those with additional needs or disabilities.

Clare is registered with Ofsted to care for 6 children under eight years old and can also care for children over 8yrs.

The service includes daytime, evening, weekend and overnight high quality childcare to families, which is intended to meet individual needs of individual families. With a child centred home environment, the children are cared for by a qualified nursery nurse with 16 years experience, (Clare) enabling parents and / or carers to have peace of mind when leaving their children in her care. The childcare service is fully registered by Ofsted and Clare has up to date police clearances. The home environment is fully risk assessed.

Clare follows the Early Years Foundation Stage Curriculum.

A wealth of opportunities, both indoors and out are offered on a daily basis and there is a vast range of toys for all ages.

Childcare is available primarily from 7. 30am to 5. 30pm, Monday to Friday, but care is also available in the evenings, weekends and overnight care to cater for people who work shifts.
Before and After School care is provided for children attended nearby schools and school holiday care is available for older children.
Attendance patterns are flexible, as are the placement fees.

Clare qualified as a nursery nurse in 1994 and has worked with children since leaving school and is also a graduate. She has worked in a range of settings from nanny to early years advisor for local authorities.

Clare genuinely loves working with children and takes the role of childminder very seriously, seeing it as an important role in helping children to achieve their full potential.

Clare believes children deserve the very best care and parents should feel happy and confident that their children are happy in their absence. Parents can be assured their child will be happy and safe. Clare currently cares for her own daughter and a five year old girl. She has vacancies for 2 children under 5 years, 2 children aged 5-7, and a number of spaces available for children aged 8 and over. Please contact for more details.

School runs (pick ups and drop offs) are available for Ravensworth Primary, St Josephs Juniors and The Grove preschool in Birtley. School holiday care available for anyone.

The service is run by Clare Wilkins who has worked within the childcare field for many years. Having previously worked for Durham and Gateshead local authorities as an Early Years Advisor, Clare Wilkins is more than qualified to provide childcare of the highest quality.
