Based in Weston just outside Spalding, Chequers at Weston is a family run business that provides good quality homemade fresh food, real ales and a warm welcoming atmosphere to customers throughout the local area. Re- opened in 2007 after a complete refurbishment the company has over 10 years experience in the catering trade.

Helping customers to relax and enjoy the surroundings of the large new dining rooms, cosy bar or extensive patios and gardens throughout the year. The company provides customers with a professional friendly service. With highly trained chefs providing home cooked meals using fresh local ingriedients. Friendly staff welcome customers with their service that is guaranteed to be relaxing and enjoyable.

The Chequers provides high quality freshly prepared meals and snacks as well as a well stocked bar and a varied international wine cellar. They have facilities for weddings and functions in the dining rooms or a marquee in the gardens. They are open six days a week and close on Mondays except Bank holidays. Their products are reasonably priced and have set menus running daily.

Having ordered 7 meals we were given very small portions which we found suprisingly little..The two childrens meals literally had 4 chips on each plate...another adults main course was mediocre having again only Four New potatoes on the plate..I did not complain at the time to avoid embarrasing my children and guests.... I did complain later to the owner whilst paying the bill and waited with my guests for another 45mins for a response.....I was ignored and on leaving asked again ,but again nothing had been resolved !!! I went back the next day again with no helpful resolvement... Wont be going again ......

As discussed with Peter at the time- when the waitress checked if their meal was ok (the reply was "fantastic thank you" ) that was the time to inform us of any problems. The meals that he ordered for the 'children' where small. Reason for this is because the childrens menu is for small/young children, not the large/teenage children he brought to the restaurant. With regards to the adult meal i believe this was for the lady who ordered the chicken dish, but asked for no sauce, no vegetables, and swapped the potato option. Having said this at the time the waitress asked if everything was ok, if she had been told that they wanted more chips and potatoes the table would have got some in seconds. When Peter did complain he was informed of this and he sat back down. He came in the next day and it was explained to him that he could of had more at the time but after the meal we can do nothing about it. Maybe i should have given him a bowl of chips and a bowl of potatoes the next day to shut him up.
