The chef, Bertrand Legrix, graduated from three french catering colleges, has over 15 years experience in the Food and Beverage business and has worked in restaurants in England, Spain and France.
Chef@home will start with a free (and no-obligation) consultation in your home to learn your culinary likes, dislikes and wishes but also to take a quick tour of the kitchen. Then Chef@home will design your menu not only to suit your taste, but also to meet your dietary needs. Once your menu is approved, your chosen date is set up to prepare the food right in your kitchen. Chef@home does the grocery shopping on that day to ensure the finest and freshest ingredients.
On the day, all the client has to do is enjoy. Chef@home even cleans up afterwards.
All products are chosen depending on customer requirements, and cater for all tastes, from vegan or vegetarian to organic and seasonal produce. All products are bought a few hours before the event to guaranty freshness and full flavour.

4.3 out of 5 | A surprise birthday party for 13 jan 2nd was a very memorable event. Bertrand and his wife were very attentive and supported all our needs. The cooking was done to perfection and the timing of each course was superb. We had four courses and I personally chose the menu, as it was my husbands favourite menu from various restaurants. Hot foie gras with fig chutney and brioche followed by john dory with bananas and mango chutney and then fillet of Mignon and finally choc fondant. 4.7 out of 5 | Chef at Home, in the guise of Bertrand Legrix, catered our Boxing Day lunch for our extended family (12 in all) and then a smaller dinner party for 6 on New Years Eve. Chef Bertrand delivered two superb meals, particularly on the latter occasion where the canapés and lobster thermidor were particular highlights.
In preparing for the occasions, Bertrand sat down with us to understand our likes and dislikes and made some great suggestions. His enthusiasm, passion and personality inspired confidence that we had made a great decision.
For those interested in cooking, Bertrand is keen to get you involved in the preparation of the meal and to share with you his know-how and tips. Again, this all adds to the value of the overall experience - it was almost a cookery school and a dining experience.

On the night both He and Puerto made our evening very special and all of our guests are telling there friends. 5.0 out of 5 | Our Chef Bertrand arrived on time and got to work in the kitchen straight away. He was very pleasant and enthusiastic about the food he prepared. The food was of an exceptionally high standard and delicious, it was like eating in a top restaurant. The service was also exceptional, not hurried at all. The kitchen was left clean and tidy with the dishwasher loaded and all left overs neatly packed in the fridge. Would highly recommend this service especially for a special occasion. The service and the food were exceptional, not only did he plan the menu, do the shopping and prepare a gourmet meal for 8 adults and 3 children, he catered for for children's taste from scratch, he also did a four course meal for 1 vegetarian, 2 fish eaters and 5 meat eaters all timed and served to perfection, not only that the kitchen was left immaculate afterwards, and all of this done in a completely unobtrusive way and all done with a smile. 4.3 out of 5 | Two Anniversary dinners for 4/5 people, 5/6 courses, full table service. Bertrand is open, friendly, knowledgeable, willing to teach, flexible, and extremely hard working. The food he produced for us was all lovely, some outstanding. We will certainly use him again. I have no criticisms. The only improvement I can see is for me to spend more time thinking about left-overs when constructing the menu so that I chose things which can then be easily incorporated into family meals over the next few days thereby further increasing value for money.
