As my daughter was getting married we decided our Westie would be better off away from all the fuss at home. Jane could see I felt nervous about leaving him for the first time but she reassurred me and told me he would get lots of cuddles and attention. Sure enough, when I picked him up the following day he was pleased to see me but was comfortable and had clearly had a fun time. I'll have no hesitation in leaving him in the caring hands of Jane and her team in the future. Hilary Haider. - Read More

A great place to leave your dog if you are going away. Not like normal kennels - at Champion they have lots of play time and thoroughly enjoy themselves. Only 10 heated kennels in a huge barn with its own kitchen which is neat and clean. Great grooming department, too. Our dog came home looking fantastic and very happy. He really enjoyed the playtime with the other dogs in the field and mixing with smaller groups in the barn itself. Highly recommended. Thank you Aunty Jane. - Read More

Highly recommend these kennels. Have used other local kennels but never seen our dog look so happy and tired following her recent visit! Really nice staff who show a genuine affection and care for the animals plus masses of land for our bouncy pup to run about in. I absolutely hate having to use kennels but so glad we have found Champion Dog Boarding - will definitely use again.

LOST OUR DOG Poppy whilst we were on holiday, this was on 29th July. Poppy is still missing her details can be found on the doglost website her id is 31602.
As an addition to Jane's response in blaming me - I did not need to write on the form that Poppy did not recall, she did for me and therefore this was not an issue. Poppy hardly ran off as described, she escaped under a fence in what should have been a secure environment. Shame on you Jane!
Still missing and missed every minute of every day. 03/11/11. - Read More
Company response : NOT TRUE !! POPPY ran away chasing after a rabbit. The owners NEVER wrote on boarding form to inform staff that POPPY DID NOT respond to recall. ALL other dogs that chased the rabbit came back on recall, but POPPY did not. ALL other owners who KNOW their pets, put in writing on our boarding form LEAD WALK ONLY if their dog do not respond to recall. This is why we INSIST every owner fills in and signs our form. In four years of trading this is the only incident we have had and are deeply saddened by POPPY running off and are still wishing her safe return.

We have a rescue dog from hell and were very concerned about leaving her and getting a call in 2 mins to 'come get her'. This is the 2nd year now and still no call! To have found such wonderful kennels is a God send. Xanthe now goes in for a holiday quite regularly and comes back so happy, clean and actually tired - its a holiday for us too!

Our two Rotties Lily & Lara have just enjoyed a great two week 'holiday' in the care of Champion grooming & kennels. We were delighted that they came home looking and smelling fresh as flowers, happy and content. After speaking with the proprietor before hand we knew the girls were in good and safe hands. We will definitely, and have done already, recommend this kennels, and the girls will be visiting again. - Read More
Our dog Jake has stayed at Champion Dog Boarding twice and I think he regards it as a holiday! We were hesitant about putting him in a kennel because he was a caged rescue dog, so we initially booked him in for a night and we were delighted with the attention that he received. He's just returned from 10 days "holiday" at the kennels and he is fitter and in better condition than before he went in! It was such a relief for us to go on holiday knowing that he was in good hands and I HIGHLY RECOMMEND the kennels, the dogs receive lots of love, care and cuddles and they look HAPPY :) Julia - Read More

Thank you for looking after our dog. It was the first time we had used kennels and we were so pleased with the facilities and attention that out dog received. We had looked at several kennels before chosing to use Champion and felt it was by far the best on offer and worth travelling the extra 15 miles. There are only 10 kennels but 2 large paddocks for exercising the dogs and this ensures that all the dogs receive lots of attention and company. We will definitely be using Champion again! - Read More

Lovely kennels, we have not used boarding kennels before and so we were a little nervous, however the care was excellent, our dog returned in wonderful shape and I think she missed all the play times when she came home. It really was a holiday for our treasured dog. We will use the kennels again without hesitation!
