Buckinghamshire Fire and Rescue Service - Fire Safety ..

Formed in 1996, Buckinghamshire Fire and Rescue Service has many years' experience in the fire safety training sector, and provides fire warden/marshall and fire extinguisher training to clients throughout the UK. The company is based in Aylesbury at the fire service brigade headquarters.

The industrial and commercial training unit delivers comprehensive fire safety training to businesses, which is intended to meet current regulations under The Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005. The training, can be offered at one of many venues across the county, or at the customers own site. All of the staff are serving fire officers who are fully qualified to deliver training, helping clients to meet their legal requirements under the Fire Safety Order.

Following the completion of a fire safety risk assessment, the client may discover that they need to appoint 'competent persons'. ICTU can offer fire warden/marshall training, on site at the clients premises or at a venue within Bucks. Do your staff need training to use a fire extinguisher safely and without risk to themselves? This can be delivered on site at a time to suit the client - out of hours and even at weekends if necessary. For a small extra cost, live fire training using environmentally friendly gas powered equipment, enhances the training to staff with a high level of retention of the message that is important for their safety. A new course recently developed is fire team training, to deal with unwanted fire signals which fire services are trying to reduce.

Currently the Unit has 10 qualified fire fighters who deliver training to commercial companies across Buckinghamshire. Some of the trainers also travel to venues across the country to deliver training to branches of the same company to ensure that the same message is being passed on to all employees, regardless of location, and to pass on the corporate message.
