Bridges - Counsellor

With a consulting room in Huddersfield, Bridges offers counselling and psychotherapy to clients throughout Huddersfield. Formed in 1996 the service has 12 years experience in the couples and individual counselling sector.

Enabling clients to respond to life events and explore the way they relate to themselves and others. The therapy may take as short or as long as the client with their counsellor feel is necessary. The service provides individuals and couples with a professional counselling service. With a comfortable place to undertake counselling and with fully qualified and experienced therapists, the service is intended to help face and tackle life's problems in new ways.

With Two counsellors, one of whom is RELATE trained and works with couples, and a fully trained and experienced Child and Adolescent Psychotherapist of many years experience, there are 3 experienced and fully trained therapists. Bridges has a professional team, qualified and with many years of experience to degree and Advanced Diploma level. The service enables a range of responses to difficulties and life problems, counselling that helps people to respond to life events and explore the way people relate to themselves and others and is helpful for a wide range of problems. Based in Huddersfield, the service includes short and long term counselling with day time and evening appointments. The service is available monday to friday.

Bridges has a client base in the Huddersfield, Wakefield, Dewsbury and Barnsley areas and the surrounding areas. People come to bridges in order to address emotional, personal or relationship problems. These include: lack of confidence, difficulties in sustaining relationships, bereavements and other losses, difficulty in expressing feelings, issues relating to abuse or unhappiness in childhood, depression, stress at work, women's and men's issues and anxiety, rape and sexual assault, sexuality and sexual orientation. The company is managed by the practioners who work in the practise who have been involved in the Counselling profession for many years. Having previously been involved in health, education, voluntary services, they are experienced to work with people from a wide range of work, social and ethnic backgrounds and of all ages from children to older people and the practise can respond to different personal, work and relationship needs.
