2.05 2.0 out of 5 - I went to a new years party in st neots where Brian was performing.. To be honest pretty shocking. Vocals all sounded the same and for a new years eve party the songs played where pretty much depressing rather than joy-full.
A few times songs where stopped half way and then another one was played.. I asked for a few song requests and none where played
And lastly the countdown to new years was non existent and it sounded like he sort of forgot.
In Reply to Brians response. I think there lies the problem, you cater for an older audience, hence why me and others where a bit disapointed in the evening. A few of us had requested songs that are not what I would call off the wall, Brain Adams for example. Im 27 years old I like all kinds of music, im not just into new, I like a bit of old, but the old that was played I dont' think suited the evening.
I had a leaflet that we got given at the event promoting Brian, which had an email address but that didn't seem to work, so I found this website to leave feedback as I felt I had to give some. after having various responses others I admit my first review was a bit harsh and I have increased the rateing.
Thanks
Company response : A review is a review I suppose, but then their are reviews and reviews.
Simon admits to asking for songs that didn't get played.
Well now. I had over 100 guests with ages ranging from teenage to retired and most of the guests over 40: and then along comes a young guest who wants something completely off the wall to that of the wider audience and then publicly complains that his choice hasn't been played.
A sour grapes review needs to taken for what it is.
The majority of the guests in attendance wouldn't even know how to find this website let alone how to write a review on here.
I invite anyone to come and see me and to form their own opinion.
What is fact is that 1 of the guests demonstrated an interest in having me appear at their venue and a 2nd has now confirmed a booking for a wedding.
I'm not a young peoples entertainer for this very reason.
Young people are too inexperienced to understand the wider picture of their selfish choices and what effects such decisions can have on others. A bit like writing a negative comment on a public website just because the entertainer didn't play the request. |
