Big Top Mania are members of Folk Arts England and The Association of Festival Organisers. PeteZA is a member of Equity, the actors union. Performances follow Equity guidelines and big top and marquee hires follow the Institute of Structural Engineers and MUTA guidelines. As well as these guidelines, all aspects of health and safety are respected and as many other guidelines and laws. Please ask for all relevant documents. Big Top Mania will happily discuss aspects of event planning and refer clients to appropriate sources of information.
The Big Top Mania team aims to supply clients with a professional entertainment service and has many resources that are constantly updated. The company is managed by Pete Wintercrane who has been involved in the events sector for many years. Pete Wintercrane is well trained to manage the company, having previously worked for Junction Jugglers as an entertainer, South Hill Park Arts Centre as a festival organiser. Over the last few years, Pete has done courses in child protection, first aid, electrical Pat testing and more.

I cannot fault the service given, constantly in touch with one another ready for updates/add- on's. Job arrived on time and finnished on time, with no messing about. I will use Big Top Mania again.
Pete and his team were fantastic throughout, we rented their largest big top which he actually expanded for our use at no extra cost. He got us the paper work we needed promptly and all was in order, his quote was substantially lower than competitors (other suppliers of interesting marquees rather than white boxes). He put the marquee up very quickly and with care for the welfare of the college, although the ground was not boarded before laying the carpet which could have prevented some damage to the grass.
Having done a wonderful job supplying our main tent, Pete also helped us out by supplying some excellent quality roaming entertainers, and also offered to take responsibility of all the heaters throughout our ball site free of charge just to help out!
The only down side to the service was that the marquee could only be erected on soft ground, if most of our Ball site had not been on concrete I would have got many more of our marquees off BigTop!
We used big top mania for a family christening and they managed to keep approx 90 children and several of their parents thoroughly entertained for the whole afternoon. Everyone enjoyed being entertained by big top mania and are still talking about them. They even added a surprise personal touch which meant a lot to us and our party. We were thrilled with the outcome. We are very much looking forward to using them again.
We had a fantastic time working with Pete and his team, they arrived early and set up without any hassle, everything was cleaned on site so it was in perfect condition ready for our event. We were unlucky with the weather and panicked about the size of our big top for the number of people we had attending, so Pete offered another big top they had and without a minute to spare started putting it up! Needless to say our event went very well and everyone stayed dry. Brilliant service and a friendly company to work with.
Pete arranged the small big top following a brief conversation with him, he made contact with the performers and the rest was magic! Pete seemed to know exactly what we needed, he put his skills into practice and we pulled off a brilliant party. I would trust Pete to come up with a party plan he is honest, hardworking, kind, and has a great sense of humour, he added the finishing touches and we are very grateful. Thank you Pete. Big Top Mania provided the venue for a silent disco held at a university halls of residence, the level of customer service was really good and we would definately use them again. The staff were friendly and helpful, and efficient in putting the tent up in the time required. The tent itself was of a good quality and worked perfectly for the event.
Back by popular demand, 2010 is the second year Big Top Mania has visited Wellington Country Park with the Baby Big Top Circus! With a full house every show they never fail to entertain the customers. You can always guarantee a good show from the Big Top Mania Team! Wellington Country Park will be continuing to work with Big Top Mania for future events!
I used Big Top Mania for my wedding party, hiring 2 marquees. A big top, and bar tent. Cannot reccommend highly enough. They were fantastic, from booking, leading up to the event, answering all my nagging emails & questions thoroughly. They arrived bang on time, incredibly professional, yet laid back. The tents could not have been cleaner, they looked brand new. Pete went over and above all requirements, helping us make the inside and outside truly magical. He even leant us table cloths, and hung pictures up in the tents. Awesome! Go ahead and book! You will not be dissappointed!

On the 12th of June 2010 BigTopMania were employed to provide us with a Big Top Circus and Circus Workshops for the St Helier Festival in Sutton. This was the second year the St Helier Festival took place. After last years event which was an outstanding success it was decided to hold the Festival each year. The success was due to the Circus and Workshops. Our Festival is a free community event organised by volunteers and funded by sponsors and any funding grant we can get. We also have to have very good value for money and i can say value for money we recive from BigTopMania was exeptional. I had no idear what i wanted when i contacted BigTopMania in 2009 but Peter was so helpful. I discussed with Peter what we had in mind and he took it from there. We had on paper what we needed but on the day of the festival we didnt know what to expect. The Circus was the highlight of our Festiaval it was fantastic, so much so we had them back this year and will continue to do so. Our attendance last year was around 2,500 this year we had about 5,000. Our St Helier Festival is now the top event in Sutton and very important to our community most of it success was down to the Circus. I highly recommend BigTopMania.
