5.0 out of 5 Posted : 29 Jun 2010  I have sent the letter below to the Portsmouth Evening news I hope they publish it as you deserve great comments: Dear Sir, I don't know if you have a section for outstanding local businesses but I have one for you. Barringtons Limousines, Porchester. Yesterday was my daughters prom at Crofton School. If I hadn't had a day of it already having spent all day up to my neck in prom dresses, nail varnish, and hairspray.Then to cap it all with 10 mins to go before all her friends arrived, imagine the upset and tears when she received the call saying the Limo was not going to make it. This limo which had been booked with a company called Novelty Limo's and paid for weeks before by the group of friends, it was coming down from the Midlands when it 'apparently' got a puncture. My house was now filled with teenagers in suits and dresses looking very disappointed and other parents hatching plans for how the kids could walk to the prom! With nothing to loose I phoned Barringtons Limousines, and explained the predicament. Barry explained that he was currently in his shorts cleaning a car after a wedding earlier and was just about to put the car away for the day, but would be there as soon as he could. Half an hour later a beautiful spotless white limo arrived with a uniformed Barry (not in Superman uniform) and whisked them off for there evening of feeling like a film star and arriving in style at their prom. I know what your now thinking COST, well that's mine and Barry's secret. All I will say is very very reasonable price! Thanks Barry you and your company were outstanding. Despite being quite a long way away from their base in Fareham the car arrived dead on time in West Worthing on a Saturday morning! The car was beautifully decorated with gold ribbons along the bonnet and bows on the door handles with autumn flowers on the rear shelf. Stephen, our chauffeur was very attentive and nothiong was too much trouble; just what we all needed to calm our nerves. Altogether an excellent job well done.  Useful

We have used Barringtons in the past and will continue to use them  Useful

Barry her limo driver was very professional and all the girls thought he was great as he made them all laugh and at ease about going to their prom.
