1.3 out of 5 | I telephoned Bananadoo to enquire about a parcel delivery to Russia and encountered problems - so I sent them the following email:
"I run a Military Surplus Company (Union Jack's Place Ltd) and sell worldwide via eBay. I need to send a parcel to Moskovskaya, Russia - your home page states 'So if you are a Major Business, a small EBayer or just wish to send a gift to some family and friends abroad, we are able to meet your needs.' However, this is not correct I telephoned your contact number today @ 16.50 and advised the guy that answered at the moment I send around 10-12 parcels a week and around 25% go overseas, with the right courier I could increase my sales. Your guy informed me however, that as I was sending one parcel to Russia that I should contact interparcel.com whose rates are 100% more expensive!!? Why is Bananado unable to ship my parcel to Moskovskaya, Russia and why does your home page provide misleading information? or have I been misinformed?"
I was astonished to receive the following reply:

I am unable to address you personally as you have not provided a contact name?
I refute your mischevious allegation that I swore at your member of staff, and I resent your defamation of my character.
I was polite and courteous at all times, and I can conduct a conversation with a call centre without need to resort to low quality behaviour. I strongly suggest as swearing over the telephone is illegal under the 1948 Wireless and Telegraphy Act, you discuss this false allegation with your staff member, and advise him that firstly you will be examining the record of our converstation and secondly you intend to report me to the Police in keeping with the 1948 Wireless and Telegraphy Act and he will be the material witness, we shall then see who is telling the truth and a sincere apology from yourselves will be in order otherwise I will be taking up your allegation and the apparently unfulfilled promises you have made on your website, with the Office of Fair Trading based in Salisbury Square, London.
In the meantime, I would be grateful if you would address my enquiry, is Bananadoo able to ship my parcel to Russia via Mercury Economy Express for £29.73 as stated on your website, if not why not.
I look forward to your advice with interest.
