The Association of Jewellery Appraisers provides contact details of Certified Appraisers to the general public, the police, consumer organisations and jewellers throughout the UK and beyond. Founded in 2001, the organisation sets extremely high standards that members are required to maintain.
All Certified Appraisers of the AJA are highly experienced and fully qualified jewellery valuers and are required to undergo a strict re-certification process annually to continue carrying out jewellery valuations using the designation of 'Certified Appraiser'. Each Certified Appraiser holds an advanced gemmological qualification and is required to have several years experience of identifying gemstones and grading diamonds.
AJA members are specialists in preparing appraisal and valuation reports for all purposes including Valuation for Insurance Replacement, Probate, Family Division, Capital Gains Tax Assessment, Fair Open Market and Litigation Reports. Areas of expertise include: Antique and modern jewellery, gemstones, diamonds, silverware, watches and clocks.

Association of Jewellery Appraisers are open for business from 9:00 to 5:30 Monday to Friday and are closed Saturday to Sunday.
